Thought I would let you guys know that there's a little bit of Peru visiting Fort Collins. We were out on the bike path south of Harmony & Shields, when we saw a huge flocks of sheep. My dad spoke to the shepard a few days ago....here's what he learned:

"Emelio knows enough English to let people know he isn't good with the language. When I approached him this afternoon, he said "no English" and pointed to his mouth.

He comes from Peru and will be in that area until July 2 and then will move to a different location west of Fort Collins. He said his flock is about 840 and his father has about 2000 sheep. The sheep are not his, they come from a town I understood as Ito, so it may have been Eaton.

I never got a chance to ask him, but I think the "camper" we saw in the field and couldn't figure out, was where he was living."

Think he can help me plan a trip to Peru? :)

Heeeheee! Out here in Peru, land-use is a copletely different concept. That open space property probably looked like prime squattin´ territory!!!
